Nezame-no-toko Gorge
Translating as the ‘Bed of Awakening’, Nezame-no-toko is a natural formation of huge granite, that have eroded for a vast period of time and created a unique landscape in the beautiful Kiso Valley.

Visitors can cmaber over the boulders and should you climb high enough, will discover a Shinto shrine tucked away between the rocks. People see all manner of things within the shape of the rocks, from the outlines of animals to flowers and more. Designated a ‘Place of Scenic Beauty’ in Nagano, Nezmame-no-toko is a natural curiosity worth seeing with your own eyes.
